Of networking sites and preferences
You have a Multiply account right? And obviously Friendster, and Facebook, a Blogspot, probably a MySpace account, throw in a Hi5 and other countless networking sites out there in the internet. We have all been “victimized” by our vanity in the positive hope of communicating with lost friends and somehow re-invigorate and feel the sense of belonging.
But isn’t having too many accounts enough? We don’t really need to register to all those redundant sites with nothing more to offer except – uploading pictures. Pictures on the bathroom, pictures before going to sleep, picture after waking up before washing your face, pictures and lots and lots of pictures. If you are a golfer, would you register for membership at all golf clubs? I’m sure you get my point. Can I even manage updating each and every one of those sites? I do not think so.
So with all the hype about bonding thru social networking, I decided to concentrate on where else, but here in Multiply. Each has their own uniqueness, and a couple sites that looks alike some others, yet Multiply is very distinctive with its design layout. It is a sort of a mini personal website with its customizable themes, if you know the right HTML or CSS tweaks that you like. Entries are segregated by its type of data, whether you are writing some of your ramblings or posting your bikini tops. It does look organized, and for a litter bug like me, it is pleasing.
I have registered to a lot of sites, but you won’t probably see my dedication in updating them unlike here.
Besides, this is what my parish priest has been saying all along…

nauna lang ang friendster, pero nang matuklasan ko ang multi mas minahal ko ito, yung facebook naging mahalaga lang kasi nga may mga foreign-ger na friends. otherwise, nakakaloka lang magmaintain ng account.
dalawa ang account ko dito sa multi, isang privatepia. ayoko lang magmushy mushy dito sa otsopya. pero baka nga idelete ko na din yun. therapy din kasi sa akin ang magblog, kahit may magbasa o wala, ang mahalaga mailabas ang saluobin baka maging mabahong utot pa e hehe
kaya lang sabi mo nga outlet... labasan ng sama ng loob...
ng mga nakatago sa baul, at minsan ng ikalawang personalidad...
marami akong account kaso nkalimutan ko na yung password ng iba hahaha...
ikaw din yun, bahagi din yun ng kalakhang personalidad mo
meron nga lang repressed personality at public personality
pero they fused together, to bring about the unique you :D
inilalabas mo ung mga gusto mong gawin na hindi mo magawa sa bahay?
parang yung kaklase ko noon, tahimik sa bahay

i love multiply. those 2 could get sooper dormant.. but not my multiply =D
multi, fster, peysbuk, blogspot, tagged, hi5, wala akong myspace tsaka zorpia tsaka iba pa na hindi ako interesado...
yung multi laging updated, yung pesybuk laging sinisilip although nag major update ako this month, pero yung 2 sumunod at least once a month, yung iba dormant...

Kaso, every social networking site has its own uniqueness naman. Hindi lang siya parepareho.
Friendster - sumali ako kasi nauso siya, halos lahat ng PILIPINO hindi mawawalan ng friendster site. hindi ka tao kung wala kang friendster (joke lang sa mga walang friendster)
MySpace - eto naman ang parang friendster sa states. May mga kamaganak ako sa states na ITO lang ang nagiisang account. Siyempre gagawa ako para makacommunicate ko sila. and take note. Number 1 networking site ito sa mundo
Facebook - dito naman, mga kamaganak ko din ang habol ko dito and my high school friends and long long long lost friends dito ko nahahanap. yung iba nga walang friendster eh. di sila tao. joke.
Multiply - siyempre walang tatalo dito. yung iba sumasali lang para maview yung mga posts ng friends nila, and there's nothing wrong with that. ang ngayon ko lng nalaman. social networking site pala ang multiply. :)) kala ko blog site lng siya. salamat sa info.
sobrang love ko multiply, this is like my outlet, nung 2002 ko pa gusto magkaroon ng sarili kong site where i could post my stuff. kaya nagkaroon ako ng xanga na account nun. in as much as i want to give up friendster and facebook, di pwede, my elementary/highschool/college friends as well as my other relatives are mostly in friendster and di ko sila maconvince na magsubscribe dito multiply. sa facebook naman, andun mga former colleagues ko at relatives sa US.:(
si badong ang dahilan kung bakit ako may multiply. nagsimula lang to sa pagdownload ng MP3.
